The YAMWood Foundry - Powder Coat

We are a high-end furniture company specializing in custom metalworking and premium-quality furniture, and we are looking for an experienced, dependable Powder Coater to join our team.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work and understands that quality and attention to detail are essential. This person will be responsible for managing the powder-coating process from preparation and cleaning through finishing and final quality inspection, while maintaining a high level of efficiency and production.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, clean, sand, and properly prep metal parts for powder coating.
• Operate powder-coating equipment and apply coatings consistently and professionally.
• Ensure smooth, even, high-quality finishes with close attention to detail.
• Inspect finished pieces for quality, consistency, color, coverage, and defects.
• Manage incoming work and organize the powder-coating workflow efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Handle and move large and heavy metal furniture components safely.
• Work efficiently to maintain strong production output without sacrificing quality.
• Properly maintain powder-coating equipment and notify management of any issues.
• Work collaboratively with the metalworking and production team to meet deadlines.
• Be flexible and available for occasional overtime when production demands require it.

Qualifications

• Previous powder-coating experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of metal preparation and powder-coating processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work efficiently in a production environment.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy materials and furniture components.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work a full 40-hour work week.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to take ownership of your work and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
• Team player who takes pride in producing high-end finished products.
